BBQ and Biking
The new grill got its first real workout this weekend. A BBQ! We invited some friends over for a potluck. We ended up grilling corn, chicken, scallops, pork tenderloin, and sausages. On top of that, there was freshly made guacamole and hummus, pesto pizza bagels, mac ‘n cheese, sushi, strawberries, cookies, and apple pie. Literally 30 minutes in I was stuffed. There’s still a lot of leftovers to snack on throughout the week :D
Thanks for the picture, Kolina!
And Boboro made by Sophia!
On Sunday I went biking – I (stupidly?) decided to bike up Montebello road, with my goal to reach Ridge Winery. Whenever I bike Steven’s Canyon Road, I normally head left at the fork and go up Mt. Eden Road. Since a few local bikers have often noted that Montebello is a good climb, I decided to check it out. The climb up Montebello wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, but unlike OLH or King’s Mountain, it wasn’t very covered so the hot afternoon sun wore me down a little more than I would like. I reached here before finally deciding to turn around and bomb down the road at 30mph:

Later, of course, it turns out that Ridge Winery address was 17100 – so close! Guess I’ll have to climb it again when I have more time/energy :p
Oh well, the view was nice:
