| From Boston – Christine’s Wedding |
I skipped a week here because I wanted to wait for pictures from the professional photographer, but until those come in…my sister got married! The wedding was at the Boston College chapel and the reception was at the Ritz Carlton. Family from as far as Hawaii and as close as Worchester came. I was pretty far removed from all the planning, and I must admit that my sister, Anthony (her husband), and everyone else who helped plan the wedding (my Mom, mainly), did a wonderful job. Everything went according to schedule and the food was top notch.
Some things to note:
- Boston is unbearably humid in the summer.
- Ivy Restaurant (where we had dinner the Thursday I arrived) has live jazz on Thursdays, delicious steak frites, and a very good wine selection.
- Masa Restaurant (where we had the rehearsal dinner) has excellent sangria and a delicious smoked shrimp and mussel stuffed avocado.
- The Hyatt has an elevator that takes you from the entrance to the lobby. Then another set of elevators that takes you to your room. Inefficient!
- It’s akward to work out in the gym when all you have is dress shoes. Yup, I was that guy.
- Wore a tux for the first time in 3 years. The studs on the shirt were pretty pointless since the vest covered them.
Finally, I must say that although I plan to let my future-wife do the majority of the wedding planning (she’d want to, right??), having a wedding planner/helper/assistant helps so much. The assistant helping my sister, who works for the Ritz, was there at all the right moments to make sure everything went according to plan. She even had a walkie-talkie to check-up on every last minute detail.
Well, that’s it for now – I’ll post the professional pictures (if I can), as soon as they’re released!

yay can’t wait to see the prof pics!
Congratulations to the family!
Definitely leaving the planning to Wilmot
