Day 2-3
After being up way too late with jet lag, things have gotten better. Who knew that drinking was the trick to getting to bed at the right time? Emanuele, who is visiting from Dublin, and I went to Fusion 9 for dinner on Tuesday – very good lamb and wine in a nice restaurant (which coincidentally does catering at the Hyderabad office).

Work has been a blast so far – the team is so friendly and fun. A few of us went out for drinks tonight at a nearby bar called Cafe 8 and rode back in a rickshaw. I’m thankful that they’ve been telling me what’s good to eat for lunch, such as the Wednesday biryani (what I would say is the equivalent to potsticker Thursday at Charlie’s)

Diwali is coming up next week and you can tell the office is getting excited. Check out this gorgeous hand-made decoration in the entrance:

And I definitely can’t complain about my living situation. I get my own bathroom, tv, and a full stocked kitchen and fridge:

It’s only been 3 days but it’s already been a blast and I feel very fortunate to be here. The people are very friendly and it’s so interesting to ride in rush hour traffic while the taxi dodges around tuk-tuk’s, motorcycles, and trucks. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m heading to Delhi/Agra/Jaipur this weekend so I hope to have many more pictures to share.
The wine was actually good? It’s like ridic expensive there. Meanwhile, I think they call it rickshaws in India, tuktuks inThailand. <3 the food!
Well, it was okay…pretty damn expensive though.
Okay rickshaws it is…revising my post
Fully stocked fridge huh?
I like how there is Silk in there. I didn’t know it was worldwide.
Don’t forget to eat the Achari Biryani when in Delhi. It’s spicy, so keep a large bottle of water nearby!
And oh.. Delhi’s rickshaws are called “Phat Phats” :-)
