I ain’t no physicist
Just spent the past few hours playing Fantastic Contraption. It’s a pretty neat Flash game where you use rods and wheels to try and get a red ball into the finish zone. The first few levels are pretty easy, but the difficulty quickly ramps up. I got stuck at level 12 [big ball] and when I looked at some of the solutions left in the user forum, I quickly discovered the game is a lot more complex than I imagined. Many of the complex devices require a lot of planning, which would make my head explode. It kind of imploded when I watched some saved designs:
