SF Yuppie Saturday

J and I headed up to SF on Saturday with no clear itinerary in mind.  It was a beautiful weekend, the weather was gorgeous in the city, and we ended up doing things that can all be categorized as yuppie.

  • Drove up to SF…in a Prius
  • Walked around the Marina and looked at various boutiques and expensive houses
  • Watched cute dogs play with each other at Lafayette Park
  • Ate a gastronomically fascinating dinner at Absinthe, which included glass of Kubler Absinthe, French Onion Soup, Papardelle with wild mushroom and caramelized onions, and Lamb Loin with ratatouille

Lafayette Park is cool. We happened upon it pretty randomly on one trip and walked up the to top where you can see the bay. There’s a building near that with an old brass plaque to let you know that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle once lived there. No news on whether or not he wrote any Sherlock Holmes while overlooking the yuppies and their puppies.
