Today (well, yesterday since it’s now 12:10AM on Thursday), is/was my 1 year Anniversary of starting at Google. It’s been a great experience and I can’t believe time has gone by so quickly! Reflecting on the work I’ve done so far, it’s been a great learning experience and chance to challenge myself in an industry and field I didn’t have much familiarity to begin with. I can’t speak enough of how great my teammates are, which really makes the job so much fun. Looking forward, I’m glad there’s still a lot more work to be done and that I’m at Google, along for this wonderful ride.

I didn’t do much to celebrate the occasion – had a delicious dinner from Gulzaar and half-watched two comedies – Semi-Pro and Hot Fuzz.  Semi-Pro was awful but Hot Fuzz did have it’s moments.  The movie is no Lock Stock and Two-Smoking Barrels, but was enough to keep me amused for the evening.

As mentioned earlier, I’m doing some work on getting my photos online and on my site.  One of my friends recommended DAlbum as the way to go, so I’ll be experimenting with that.  I’ve already discovered that it’s bare-bones enough to accomplish exactly what I want – rudimentary organization of all my photos, but also offers some fun customization that I’ll certainly be exploring for the coming weeks.  Well, this sounds like it will be my project for the foreseeable future!
