Dark Knight vs. Coldplay

Kind of an awesome Friday.  We did some ‘group-related’ work, today, meaning we had a chance to do something outside of our normal routine, which I always enjoy.  Around 3, we left the office to watch “Dark Knight.”  It was a long movie, but Heath Ledger’s performance as the Joker was fabulous and the action was pretty good.  These dark movies are always fun to watch in the theaters, as the loud explosions and big screen really make the effect much more enjoyable.

Went to see Coldplay tonight.  It was my first time seeing them live, and they didn’t disappoint.  Chris Martin messed up the endings of two songs, but I won’t hold it against him.  He and the band worked the crowd well – going out to sing in one of the rear sections or running out onto the platforms on either side of the stage.  He’s kind of in a doozy the whole time – swinging his legs and arms as he jumps/falls on the group, but still manages to sing or play the guitar.  My favorite of the night was “Fix You”, which included some paper confetti raining down on the audience.

Although Dark Knight will get rave reviews throughout the coming weeks, Coldplay’s tour is not to be missed.  If they come around your neck of the woods, be sure to check them out.
