A lot has happened since I last updated, so I guess I’ll keep it to the highlights.  First and foremost, finals are finished and since then it’s been a lot of fun just hanging out without work.  With a car, Jenny and I have been able to get off campus numerous times - to Valley Fair, Korea House, Stanford Shopping Center, and Cupertino Village.  We had a pretty wild party last Wednesday, the highlight being me and Harry beating Steve and Jenn/Ilana in beer pong twice.

I’ve been lightly packing, meaning most of my stuff is boxed up with the few essentials out - computer, clothes, and other things I can carry directly over to Lantana.

After spending some time at the Stanford Shopping Center today, I think I noticed that there are a few types of people that usually come to the mall.  First, there are the married couples, usually in their thirties, and easily identifiable by the young children they are pushing in strollers.  The babies who are crying loudly are usually being pushed faster by the parents, who seem embarrassed to have their crying child at the mall.  The other little kids who can walk are usually enthralled by the second type of people - the single, young or old males or females who walk around with a dog.  I guess the outdoor mall is a great place to show off your dog and the numerous requests kids make to pet the dog affirms that belief.  Finally, you have the poor college students like yours truly, who come to the Stanford Shopping Center to not look at Louis Vuitton or Tiffany’s, but GAP and Express.

So SRC is Harry Potter themed this summer and my hall is Diagon Alley.  I made door signs already that look pretty sweet, but I’m worried that my artistic skills will be tested for hall decorations.
