June 3rd, 2006 | by Reid |Kimball’s Special Dinner was tonight. It was one of the nicest dorm events of the year and one of the most highly attended, with the exception of the midnight showing of X3, where about 80 people came to that. Dorm staff served us our dinner, which was the typical dining hall food, arranged nicely on a plate. The highlight though, were the performances by residents. There was juggling, a guy who did a freestyle rap about the other performances, 5 seconds of Joe Chan breakdancing (he was bashful), salsa dancing, and guitar playing. It was nice to see all of the residents come together and support one another. We’re quite the artistic dorm, that’s for sure.
Oh, and there were superlatives as well. Harry and I won Best Roommates AND Best Kimball Couple! Haha, I did not see THAT coming. There were a few couples who I would’ve preferred to see - Wilmot and Julie or Wilmot and Angela. Too bad I didn’t get a chance to get everyone else to vote the same way. These superlatives are definitely rigged, because honestly, how many people would vote for me and Harry as Best Couple?
So I finished one of my three papers due next Friday. So far I’m on track. No messing around tomorrow!
