Monday April 17, 2006

April 17th, 2006 | by Reid |

Yesterday was Wilmot’s birthday.  In fitting fashion, we took him out to Chopstix (yes, with an X) and then played Minigolf.  Some of the holes are very frustrating, such as the hole that is atop a raised circular mound and if you hit it too hard it will roll over the hill and down the slope.  Yup, defintiely got a 6 stroke on that.  I never realized, also, how offending some of the landscapes can be even at a minigolf place.  We putted into an “African Queen Mine” and on the other course, saw a pagoda with a sign saying “Welcome to the Orient.”  Well, damn.

Other things - partied it up since Chris Walker is leaving.  Also went to Golden Gate Botancial Gardens to take pictures.  And also watched a few movies - Airplane, Y Tu Mama Tambien, and Conspiracy Theory.

RA Interviews are interesting and quite the mixed bag.  I’ve answered the traditional “Why do you want to be an RA?” questions but also had to do an interpretive dance of “RA” and created a new dorm cheer for my Cedro interview.  Two more rounds of them to go!

It’s the third week of classes and things are picking up.  I should be getting back to my paper…

The first time i tried watching Y Tu Mama Tambien was with Logan like a month after we started dating. That was awkward bc the very beginning is a sex scene. We turned it off. Then we watched But I’m A Cheerleader… (which I definitely reccommend). I eventually did watch Y Tu Mama Tambien and enjoyed it very much.
