January 19th, 2006 | by Reid |So I’ve been back at Stanford for awhile and it looks to be a really great quarter. Of things to look forward too, there’s classes. The Nikkei Legacy class I’m in really gives me a chance to explore issues of Japanese American identity in an academic setting and I will hopefully get a chance to go down to LA to visit the Japanese American National Museum. I’m also looking forward to my Junior Honors Colloquium for history. Already interacting with other thesis honors candidates has been fascinating, since they all share a similar passion for using history as a lense to view the world and explain the past. I’m sure I’ll spend a lot of time with a cohort of them in the future.
Along with school, there are various events that I’m looking forward too. Snowtrip is this weekend. Skiing in Tahoe will be majestic and relaxing. Cirque du soleil in February. Lots ot time to hang out with Jenny and friends. And I have ample time to get involved with research and think about what I will do this summer. I’ll probably be on campus again, doing research with Gordon or also on my Honors thesis. yum
