I slept in today.  For a productive afternoon I went to Posh Nosh with my Mom and then did the doctor thing.  First, I hit up my eye doctor – I went from -4.00 to -4.25 in contacts.  I fell asleep in the afternooon (payback for waking up early yesterday) and then went to the dentist.  No cavities this time!  And in the evening I hung out with friends again.  GOOD TIMES.

November 22, 2005

Well, as fate or luck or choice would have it, I was up early in the morning (7am) due to jet-lag, going to sleep early, or being hungry.  I did take advantage of the early rise – I was ‘hired’ by my Mom to clear our yard of leaves.  Now this is no easy task; we have a 2 acre yard with trees galore so more than 80% of our yard had leaves in some form or another.  Luckily, we have a riding lawn mower with a leaf attachment in the back, but it can only hold a small amount of ground up leaves.  As a result, I was out for three hours in the morning, mowing and mowing and mowing, and managed to do the back yard (1.5 acres).  I probably lost a year of my life inhaling dust and dirt, but whatevers.  It was nice to be outside, although it_is_cold here!

My Mom made me yaki soba for lunch today.  We went out to DSW Shoewarehouse (classy) and I got some new running shoes.  Apparently you need new running shoes every 150 miles you run – at least that’s what I hear.  I’m pretty sure after 2 years of the same shoes and running campus loop about 25 times this summer that I’m well over that mark.  So, new shoes it is!

In the evening I met up with Andrea, Beth, and Hilary.  It was nice to catch up with them and hear what everyone’s up too.  Oh and Eric comes back tomorrow!

Wilmot was kind enough to drive me to the airport.  As payment, we went to Whole Food’s and I paid – I’m on my third delicious burrito from them.  And I ate it in front of jealous onlookers waiting for our plane to board.  My flight was delayed an hour because there was some stupid battery that needed to be charged.  Moral of the story: CHARGE YOUR BATTERIES.  And I sat next to a fat lady on the plane.  Boo.  4 hours later, I was in St. Louis.

It’s COLD.

Sunday was boring as balls.  I spent a good hour cleaning the room from the debauchery last night.  There was popcorn all over the floor and Harry had about 15 soda cans to recycle, along with a few loads of trash.  Since he already owes me his first born (for turning off the room lights when he was already in bed), I am now taking his second born.

I tagged along to dinner with Tina, Michael, and Kimi.  I feel like meeting ‘new’ people is so hard after Freshman year, but our neighbors are friendly enough, although they like to study a lot!  We ate pho, which is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY growing on me.  I still prefer ramen.  Tonight I packed and watched movies to pass the time – Scary Movie was horrible.  Swordfish was decent.

What does one do with break?  Absolutely nothing!  The action picked up at night, when Wilmot drove me, Nancy, and Harry over to Phi Sig for Jay’s birthday party.  Harry and I played two games of beer pong before an RA shut down the party…at 10:50!  LAMEEEEEE.  So we headed back to Kimball and brought out our dressers to play in the hallway.  Yul, Steve, Nancy vs me, Harry, and Wilmot.  David and Tim came over later to take over for Harry and I – Yul’s really good!  And that is all.  Pretty much debauchery until 3:30am.
