I spent some time in Media Microtext finding some good juicy information before heading to Treehouse to eat lunch with Tammy and her friend Zi. I spent the afternoon snooping around online – probably the most exciting was finding some really good articles regarding the Choy Get Ming murder Professor Chang had asked me to research specifically. So, with those finds, I felt obliged to take it easy for my research in the afternoon – and even squeeze in a 15 minute nap in the A3C couchroom.
Dinner was a feeding frenzy – Alicia’s leaving for Beijing tomorrow and won’t be back until she’s studying overseas there in the fall so, a bunch of her friends (yay that includes me!!!) went to Korea House. Korea House, for those of you who don’t know, is loud, fun, and pretty insane from the way the waitresses serve you, especially the old one. Our group of eleven, many of whom have experienced the madness of Korea House, ordered a few less dishes than the average group would have, but the waitress told us “That’s not enough!!!” and was able to pressure us in to getting one more. Well, needless to say, Korea House won. They win in serving you so much food that you leave so much on the table that you feel bad. We ordered 8 meat dishes – Korea beef, chicken, and this great tofu soup, but they also bring out all of these little side dishes – they bring it out for increments of four people – there were 10 dishes that surrounded me. I think there were 40 dishes on our table – ranging from tofu, seaweed, rice, lettuce, fish, and kim-chee. And the waitress was nice enough to give us free beer and go around making ‘sushi’ from us, grabbing the various side dishes and putting it on our plates. And then if we finished one of those small dishes they’d bring us more. We were all thoroughly stuffed and I left wondering the same thing – “How does this restaurant make any money?”
Guilty of the gluttony, I decided to go jogging tonight. With all of my jogging buddies being lame (Harry), out of town (Chris…equally lame though) and sleeping (Raylene), Jenny kept me company. She biked Campus Drive while I ran it – it was actually quite enjoyable because it provided a nice way for us to talk. We then finished the night off with some L Word.
