June 27, 2005

A research intensive day.  Highlights included a productive meeting with Gordon – he gave me a proxy card so I can check out books in his name for an indefinite period of time.  I celebrated by checking out 20 or so books.  I also got a positive reply back from the Seattle Public Library, who found an article about the death of Choy Get Ming in the Seattle Times on January, 1942.  Good news also from Ben Stone, the American Studies archivist at Green, who gave me some helpful links and places to go to try and find more information about the murder.  It really feels like detective work, so it’s fun.

I went jogging with Harry and his brother Ken tonight.  I actually made it for about 30+ minutes.  Hopefully I won’t feel sore tomorrow.  I later did some polisci work and then watched the L Word.
