Worked outta my room today heh. The only time I went out during the day was when I went to our American Studies luncheon. Professor Wright, an econ prof, came to talk to us about his research that he’s doing with Andrew Wood’s assistance. They’re investigating the shift from Blue to Red in the Southern States. They plan to look at important elections that occurred in the South and track the shift of Democratic to Republican governors, senators, and the like. It sounds like an interesting project and I guess I would be interested in that type of research, except I’m not really interested in politics as a future career. Nevertheless, doing this type of research will hopefully shed light on the Republican strategy, so that Democrats can not suck it up again in future elections. It’s basically because I don’t want this country going to shit (assuming it already isn’t going down the drain).
Jenny and I ate dinner at Harry’s tonight. Jess and Theo came over to help cook – they bought drumsticks and cut them into small pieces for Harry to cook on his George Foreman grill. Yeah….it was good but yup, note to them – chicken breasts next time. I also went for a jog tonight – I did basically all of Campus Loop. Bam! And then Chris and I dropped $400 each to go to freakin’ New York.
