Last day of sections!  I was busy in between class – running around meeting with Professor Chang to finalize my SRC position – I’ll be researching anti-Japanese and anti-Asian violence after Pearl Harbo and during WWII.  I’ll be looking at newspapers in select cities with large Asian populations and some literature if I get a chance.  Lots of microfilm.  I then went to talk with Purnima in Asian American studies.  She was absolutely thrilled that I’m declaring!  I also turned in my forms for SRC and then met with Carolyn Wong to talk about possibly working with her to research Asians in Australia during the summer as well.

I’m really excited about this summer.  I cancelled my Georgetown summer housing and called Congressman Carnahan’s office and left them a resignation message.  After doing some work tonight, I was off to Phi Sig with Jenny for the Roosevelt Institution party, Screw Prohibition!  It was pretty fun – good to see lots of people and hang out as a nice study break.  After that was done, I did more reading.  I swear this damn book is taking forever.
