I went to a MLKPP presentation for ProFro’s in the morning – we quickly talked about the project and I shared my experiences working there. Everyone then went to Clay’s class and he talked about the 1963 March on Washington – it was the first time I heard him lecture and he’s very engagin – he even shared with us his experience going to the march – he hitch-hiked from Indianapolis to Washington D.C. and then when it was over, found himself with only $30 – so he took a train to Harlem, found his way back to Indianapolis again, and then hitch-hiked back to New Mexico. Crazy.
I declared my Political Science major this afternoon! I’m declared! Double major in History and Political Science.
Good news also that SAAAC’s SIC course has been approved!
In the evening Eric, Chris, Harry, and I went to Paxti’s Pizza – the Chicago deep dish pizza is amazing. I attempted to do a little work at night and finally ended up playing “Loser” with friends and talking. Good times.
