Surfing!
But goodness, it’s not just riding waves. Paddling out to catch waves is tiring. So is paddling really quickly and then attempting to stand up at the right moment and then keeping your balance while making sure you avoid running into other people in the water, especially people who are new and aren’t the best swimmers and are tired from paddling out to waves so they’re in no hurry to move. But, it was fun, and I caught a few waves :-)
I’m glad I went to the gym because my arms did not hurt nearly as much as my sister’s after all that paddling. Stanford 1, Harvard 0.
We went to Willow’s for lunch – it was a Hawaiian buffet set outside with nice straw roofs and wicker chairs and birds flying around that know better than to try and pick at your food. The chicken curry and fried haipia is really good there – I got full from that in a jiffy.
In a food coma once again, I took a nap at Uncle Larry’s, went to Ala Moana where I took another nap, and then back to the Kam’s. I hung out with family and chatted a bit online/checked my grades/thought about classes for next quarter. More on that when I finalize things/find out my final grade for Asian Americans in Politics.
Waiting for grades is always a pain.
Oh, we also played a bunch of Boggle. I joined the game late but was able to beat my sissy in most of the games. My best words were ‘sewers’ and ‘credo’. Stanford 2, Havard 0. ![]()
