November 27, 2004
I worked the same 8-1 shift at Express. It wasn’t nearly as busy for the first two hours, which made for an easy morning, although I was quite bored. We ran out of free scarves – oh well. My mom and sister shopped at the Galleria, and my sister got two items, so my Mom paid for one of them and got me the free men’s scarf, this time in green. Haha, two free scaves that are apparently valued at $78. But, yeah, I’m coming back in two weeks to work there once again! It should be exciting! I went to GAP to guiltily buy some pants I’d been really wanting and on the way there I ran into Xopher. We chatted a little and I got my pants.
I napped/watched Shrek 2 at home with family before attempting to take a Holiday Photo of my sister and myself. It didn’t turn out too well – my parents have always taken one of us, but now I think we might be getting too old and impatient in trying to get the ‘perfect shot’ and everything.
Andrea and I had a ‘date’ tonight. :-) We went to Zia’s on the Hill, a very cozy Italian restaurant. The food was good and I was particularly happy with our appetizer of toasted ravioli, since I haven’t had that for so long. We then went to Beth’s and watched some of her old family tapes when she was a child dancing around in a CoCa dance class. Then, we went to Wash U and played some Scrabble and chatted, and hung out with Dave and Sharon.
So yeah, it’s been a nice break. I spent some quality time with people and all of the money I spent went towards dinner on the Hill tonight and those pants. I’d say it was well worth it, considering the value in both things, especially the awesome dinner. I guess that’s why I worked. Anyway, back to Stanford tomorrow. I’ve got to finish a paper, which I’m not looking foward to, but such is life. Well, time to pack and then sleep.
Zia’s is my favorite restaurant!
really? I thought it was really good, too!
it was a fun weekend, yo
