Woke up, turned in American history paper, and left. I studied for my PoilSci midterm all morning, ate lunch, and then took it. I wasn’t to happy with how I did – I had one MC answer that I changed at the last minute on a whim and went from the right answer to the wrong one. That really irked me, especially because that was a gimme. Perhaps I can rest easy on the fact that it’s only 10% of my grade.
The rest of the afternoon I read for IR, Middle East in the 20th Century, and American history.
The highlight of the night was the St. Lawrence String Quartet, which came to perform in our lounge! I was able to see them up close, and wow, they’re amazing. It wasn’t a performance, per se, rather, a conductor/teacher person, who was apparently pretty distinguished, spoke about how to listen to classical music and how to notice a lot of things in just one movement. They played just one piece from a Shubert quartet, and it was really good. The name escapes me, because yeah, I don’t know much classical music. But yeah, it was really cool to see a quartet and think about how I have played in them and also how I will never ever ever ever ever be as good as they are.
that one mc question isn’t going to kill your grade…it’s one question. So take a breather and realize that it doesn’t matter all that much. :)
