We barely made the CalTrain this morning at 9:31AM – it was arriving when we got there, and we had to run under the bridge after quickly buying our ticket and the doors were closing as we boarded! Luckily we made it and were on our way for a 1 hour ride to San Fransisco! When we go there, it was raining so that was kinda bad, but we took the MUNI Metro to Haight-Ashbury. We got off there and walked around and looked at some interesting stores. One place called Amoeba Music had a ton of really cheap CDs and DVDs – one could spend all day looking there for rare and cheap cds! Andrea got a classical Cd, and then we were on our way. We kept looking for an In ‘n Out, but couldn’t find one! We finally looked at a Yahoo! Local billboard that allowed us to do web searches (whoa!) and found that there was only one in SF – the one I went to last year, near Fisherman’s Warf! That was really far away, and we were already headed towards Chinatown, so we continued on our way. We grabbed some food at Snow Garden in Chinatown, went up Lombard Street, gazed at the nice foggy view of the city and ocean, and then headed to Girhardeli square. Free sample of chocolate there, and then we walked all the way down Fisherman’s Warf and saw the sea lions make lots of noises. We finally got to the CalTrain station at 6:50pm, then to Palo Alto at 8ish. Harry picked us up, and we chilled in Kimball the rest of the evening. Our dorm was having a party, so we got free Jamba Juice and I played games with some other people. Andrea and I ordered a free cheese pizza through campusfoods.com, but it didn’t come for over 2.5 hours! I guess it’s okay for spending only $1.50 on a pizza! That was that. Andrea leaves tomorrow :-(
