Harry and I both slept until 1PM. Ooops :-D
So that afternoon I read IR and worked on my Middle East in the 20th Century journal. Then MLK paper’s project. I entered in a really interesting pamphlet on a Southern Christian Leadership Training Banquet from 1962. This is the menu for their dinner:
– Nonviolent Tomato Juice Cocktail
– Full Citizenship BBQ Chicken
– Recuirt Early Green Peas
– Literacy Potato Salads
– Equal Right Sliced Tomatoes
– Freedom Fighting Hot Rolls
– Community Service Ice Cream
– Bortherhood Punch
I think that really says something about how much thought went into everything that encompassed the civil rights movement.
Dinner at Wilbur. The highlight was eating outside and Harry getting a splinter that hurt his ass. Hilarity ensued.
Nigel’s birthday was tonight, so we went to Toyon and hung out there until about 3AM. Good times.
There’s nothing wrong with sleeping until 1PM :D. Pretty cool menu.
