So today started off kind of weird – I woke up on my futon but I swore I went to sleep on my bed. And, apparently I threw a pillow on Harry during the night, meaning I was sleeping on my bed, but alas, I don’t remember that happening. But, it was all good, either way I got a nice amount of sleep, followed by brunch at Wilbur, where I ate a plateful of fruit. This afternoon I hung around the dorm. Wendy and Mary moved-in today, and Anna and I hid in Mary’s closet cabinet and scared her real good when she was about to open it. She came in and dropped off some bags and didn’t open the closet. Harry even said, “You should hang up your clothes in your closet,” but she wouldn’t open it. Five minutes later, she finally came back with more stuff and then we got to scare her. Seeing her face and hearing her scream when we did that was so worth the wait!
I spent the afternoon with Harry, Anna, Mary, and Phoebe at Valley Fair, a local mall. Anna and I picked up Harry’s b-day present – for various reasons I cannot reveal the game at this moment. We ate at CPK, where I had the Goat Cheese and Roasted Peppers pizza. I was pleasently surprised with that pizza – I don’t typically eat roasted peppers, and considering the other dishes at CPK, I wouldn’t normally get something so ‘out-there’. But, it was really good, and the price was right. I also ate a bunch of the free bread – four slices!
I saw Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Still, what a hilarious movie! Back at Stanford, I hung out with various people – Chalmers, Mengfei, Steve, and later, the guys on the second floor. It was a pretty quiet night, but I enjoyed it. Classes start Monday. I’m definitely not ready.
YES HAROLD AND KUMAR
mmm… CPK (yes, my comments even involve food)
