MuFuUnSun in the morning!  That stands for Music and Fun Under the Sun, another Orientation event where everyone can get lots of free food.  As an OV for the event, I set up tables and since I was there early, got a nice sampling of all the food before the long lines formed.  There were drinks from Odwalla, and pizza from Chicago Pizzeria, CPK, Dominos, Pizza-My-Heart, and two other pizza places (six total!!) along with stand that had wraps and another that had Mexican food.  Along with Theo and Jean, I passed out water and some sodas and Snapple left over from another Orientation event.  It was fairly hot outside, so the water went quick, and unfortunately by the end, we ran out.  However, by the time the event was over, food was gone too, so everything dwindled down at the same time.  I finally got a “Beat Cal” shirt from Pizza-My-Heart, since I had a chance to make a basket before a long line formed.  Ahh yes, perks of being an OV.

I went for a jog this afternoon, but once again, ended up walking back.  Oh well.  Harry and I ate healthy for dinner – salads, but I put too much dressing, so I kind of negated the healthy-ness.  O-Show was tonight – the groups were good, as usual.  There were also dance groups this year – one was called the “Cardinal Whirlwinds,” which only had 8 members and one guy who announced square dance steps while some old fashioned country music played.  With his Southernish twang, he said things like “Take your partner, dosey-do, and swing her around, there she go,” or “Ladies make Colorado arch, men in the middle, hear them shout.”  We were all kind of like whoa when they started, since I don’t think the group is that popular and obviously not well publicized, but they were well received.

After that I talked with Andrea on the phone.  No details about that here, but it was a good reality check and is making me reconsider things now that we’re done talking.
