August 28, 2004
It was another long day of work, 9:45-5. To make things more interesting, people were late and there was nobody in the back doing checks, so it was pretty hectic more so than other Saturdays. When I got there, a girl who was supposed to be there at the same time as me, hadn’t shown up, and had to be called at home. I guess she misread the schedule or something, but it was pretty bad not showing up, since it was her first day. Another guy, Brandon also had his first day on men’s, and I showed him how to do folds and where things go at the end of my shift. Most of the time, however, I was sticking to the register while other people were working the floor. It sucked having to run back to do checks, but I did that too. I got a 30 minute break in the late afternoon, which allowed me some relaxation.
Back at home I hung around the house and chatted with my parents. I found out that I’ve spent over $350 on clothes at Express alone this summer. It really needs to stop! But yeah, I’ve still made lots of money this summer, but yeah, it could’ve been more haha.
This evening I headed over to Wash U. to visit Andrea. Since I will be doing this from now until I leave, I memorized where I should park along with where to go to her room. She’s in a really really spacious and nice looking suite with five other gals, all of whom are really nice and cool. I envy her living situation right now, it’s sooooooo nice! I helped her unpack a bit – and rearranged her computer and power cords under her desk. We also filled up a nice rock fountain that’s in the common room. I got to see other people I knew at Wash U, and later, Lauren, Umar, Andrea, and I played some Scrabble. Then, back home to waste time.
but yeah
glad you came!
