June 25, 2004

I slept in because Andrea and I decided not to go to work today.  I then went to CPK with my Mom.  We had a really dumb waitress, who brought us drinks when we were obviously done with our food.  My Mom said, “We don’t need those drinks, we’re finished,” and the waitress said, “Oh, of course!” and then frantically looked around to see if anyone else needed Iced Tea and water.  It was amusing.  We looked around Famous-Barr and then headed home.

I played DDR this afternoon and burned 300+ calories!  What a workout!

There was a quartet this evening.  Beth, Andrea, Eric and I played during the cocktail hour of some SLU Dermatology meeting.  The room we played in was nice - it had a great view of downtown STL and the Arch along with a parking garage.  We weren’t that good - we stopped during the end of the Fugue because we all got lost and it sounded terrible.  It was pretty unprofessional, but there was hardly anyone there and they didn’t seem to be paying attention to us.  However, one lady approached us after we finished and said she was from the St Louis Symphony.  Ouch - I’m sure she heard our missed notes and everything.  Oh well.

Eric, Andrea, and I ate at Cheesecake Factory this evening.  We ate outside, which was fun.  Since we were still dressed up, our waiter asked us what we were doing tonight.  We said nothing, because we had nothing planned.  We didn’t realize he was trying to figure out why we were dressed up, so Andrea told him later.  After dinner, we visited Beth at Janie and Jack and waited while she closed the store.  I then got DDR from my house, and we played that at Eric’s.  Xopher came over and we also played some pool and talked and hung out.

A very pleasant Friday.

    I agree, a pleasant Friday…

yeah, the symphony person being there should just remind us to play our best even if we think no one will care/hear…though I thought we made a good effort on dynamics lol
