Damn. I have a Spanish midterm tomorrow and I haven’t done all that much studying. I’m at that point when I look at my textbook and think “yeah, I know that stuff” and don’t feel like going over vocab over and over again to ensure that I truthfully know everything. I guess I’ll do a little more studying after I write this.
I had my usual Tuesday, of Spanish, Jews in the Modern World, lunch, and then PWR. PWR was really cool, because we watched a documentary about wartime cartoons. During WWII there were a lot of Loony Tunes/Warner Brothers cartoons put out that featured many famous cartoons characters – Bugs Bunny, Tweety, and others about the war. Many were stereotypical, if not downright racist – there were obvious slams at all of the Axis Power leaders. I felt that the documentary itself failed to show any of the Japanese focused cartoons. Instead, we saw lots of cartoons about Hitler. They were very interesting though, and watching a movie for PWR is a lot better than normal class.
The rest of the night was nothing particularly exciting. I wasted more time playing Text Twist and CS. I did manage to get some thoughts written down for my eventual IHUM paper, and study a bit for Spanish.
