LocoForYokoPuffs: what should i write about in my xanga?
OhThree03: EOCM, the weekend…the best and worst things
Well this weekend got off to a bad start, but really picked up at the end. Debate stunk, I won’t get into too much detail about that, but the 2AR LIED in our first round, and a judge voted on an issue we pounded with about 8 responses and a line-by-line response.
What was tight though, was finding out pairings from Eapen online that night, and seeing an interesting one: South vs Marquette. Seeing as there is a direct correlation between Marquette and the first round I had, I decided to give south some help. If Marquette went to state I would quit debate on the basis that the activity is undeniably flawed (or at least more so than I thought before). Anyway, South is going, and they went negative and I hear they used some of the magical evidence that was given to them that morning. Props to them.
The Evening of Chamber music also got better at the end. It seemed like everything was going wrong at the beginning – one of the violinists didn’t show up, and the groups were kinda….yeah….
But none-the-less, at the end, the veterans went and performed beautifully. Me and Beth performed, and our quartet played through our piece for the first time in its entirety. That was swizzy. I also got to go to the Posh Nosh, my favorite sandwich eatery. The Bonhomme is magnificent. I highly recommend it.
EOCM also rocked cuz Logan was there (paige, if you’re reading this, tell him what’s up). Plus, Amod came to hear me play. Except Amod lost on F/X T this weekend.
Plus, I got to chill with Andrea almost all day on Saturday. Although I am OOC, she still likes me. Haha. Riiight. But anyway, I beat her in scrabble today, which makes saturday expontentially better than my defeat on Friday night. (Jabs = 63 points! WD)
Borne Identity was cool at Ashish’s House, except the ending really stunk. You’ll just have to witness that yourself.
Well, that’s about it for now. Sunday Sunday Someday is incredibly busy, but that’s okay – this weekend has been pretty darn cool, so I could use a little kick in the rear and do some work.
